John Amen is the author of five collections of poetry, including Dark Souvenirs and Illusion of an Overwhelm, recipient of the 2021 Jack Grapes Poetry Prize, he founded and is managing editor of Pedestal Magazine. Amy Small-McKinney was the Montgomery County Poet Laureate. She is author of Walking Toward Cranes (won the Kithara Book Prize) and One Day I Am A Field, was written during COVID and her husband’s death.
