Sojourner Ahebee, author of Belly of the Night, was born in Cote d’Ivoire to an American mother and Ivoirien father, Sojourner Ahebee writes stories about African diaspora identities and the eternal question of home and belonging. Her poems have been published in The Atlantic, The Academy of American Poets (Poem A Day), Muzzle Magazine, For Harriet, Apiary Magazine and elsewhere. In 2013 she served as a National Student Poet, the nation’s highest honor for young poets presenting original work.
Mac Chandler is a graduate of The University of the Arts and a proud West Philly resident. She has been published in some places and has done like a lot of cool literary things you’ve probably never heard of. Mostly, she loves to write poetry and fiction, and involve herself in the beautiful Philly writing scene.
Mikey Franz is a writer & composer from the Philadelphia area who uses his work to explore the relationship between music & language. His debut chapbook, Terrestrial Sanctuaries was published by Moonstone last year & you can typically find him performing at various open mics throughout the Philadelphia area.
