Lynne Shapiro is a poet and essayist living in Hoboken, New Jersey. Originally from Ozone Park, Queens, Lynne grew up in Culver City, California. She studied Comparative Literature at San Diego State and earned an MA from Brandeis University. She has been on the faculty of Parsons School of Design/The New School and Hudson County Community College in New Jersey and worked for over a decade at The Whitney Museum of American Art.
