DESCRIPTION:Serotonin Press Reading\nWednesday October 7\, 2026 – 7pm\nFergie’s Pub\, 1214 Sansom Street\nSerotonin Press\, a Philadelphia based publisher\, focusing on mental illness and suicide prevention. Established as an online poetry journal\, Serotonin has published hundreds of writers from dozens of countries\, and an anthology of 115 writers organized into chapters on Depression\, Anxiety\, ADHD\, OCD\, Schizophrenia\, Bipolar Disorder\, Trauma\, Eating Disorders\, and Self-Harm\, as well as a novel and three poetry collections with more books to come. Serotonin is run by its founding editor Sean W. Lynch with support from California-based forensic psychiatrist Kavita Khajuria and help from volunteer readers. Visit: www.serotoninpress.com \n \nHoliday Noel Campanella is a multi-disciplinary creative from South Philadelphia. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Philadelphia Stories\, ONE ART\, SWWIM Every Day\, San Pedro River Review\, and elsewhere. Her visual art’s been exhibited at The Smithsonian Museum\, sold nationally at Anthropologie\, and collected in public and private collections\, including Vanderbilt Libraries Special Collections. She has degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. \n  \n \nKrystle Griffin is an Aquarian alien who spawned from the depths of the Delaware River.  A writer\, film maker\, artist and collector of skills and trinkets mostly left on the curbs of South Philadelphia. She spends her creative time trying to spin brain bees and nightmares into something shiny. Krystle teaches a monthly poetry workshop at Philly Typewriter\, is a masthead on a couple of publications such as Meow Meow Pow Pow\, and self publishes a zine called LeGrif & The Exploits. \n  \n \nJames Roach (they/he) is a queer\, trans\, sober poet who suffers and revels from the embarrassing and magical ordeal of falling in love. They write at night because that’s the safest time for vulnerable thoughts. He currently lives in the moment but often relocates to the past because sometimes\, that’s the only place the sun rises. \n  \n  \n \nAutumn H. Thomas is an emerging writer from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. After graduating with a bachelor’s in English Literature from Hollins University\, they spent a year in Arizona working as a professional cowgirl. Since then\, they enrolled in Temple University and are an MFA candidate in ’27 and a teaching assistant. Autumn now lives in Philadelphia\, practicing the art of noticing. Their debut chapbook “Letters to False Gods” was published in Spring of 2026 under Plan B Press. Their single poems have been published in Skipjack Review\, Cleaver Magazine\, Belt Review\, and others. \n \nLauren T. Yates is a Philadelphia-based poet\, burlesque artist\, and comedian. Known for her biting wit and obsession with pop culture\, Lauren tells stories from her vantage point as a queer\, Black\, neurodivergent woman. A veteran of the slam scene\, Lauren has represented Philly at the National Poetry Slam (NPS) and the Women of the World Poetry Slam (WOWPS). Born and raised in Jakarta\, Indonesia\, he moved to Philly in the summer of 2025 by way of North Carolina\, Georgia\, Alabama\, Florida\, and West Virginia. He predominantly writes pop culture essays for Across The Culture. His poems have appeared on multiple platforms in a number of countries: Indonesia (Globetrotter\, Magdalene)\, Singapore (Queer Southeast Asia)\, the Philippines (ASEAN SOGIE Caucus)\, Australia (Perspektif)\, United Kingdom (GENERATE Climate)\, and the United States (gold/dust). He lives in West Philly with five other roommates (naturally). \n  \nTiffany is a Philadelphia based performance artist. Drawing inspiration from the human experience and womxnhood. Their poems dissect personal experiences\, and intertwine humor and trauma. DESCRIPTION:Live Poetry: Lucy Sage\, Eli Goldblatt\, MJ McGinn\, Rebecca Petchenik & George Schaffer\nWednesday October  21\, 2026 @ 7pm\nFergies Pub\, 1214 Sansom Street\nLucy Sage began writing poetry at a young age. In addition to creating poetry\, Sage likes to paint portraits and abstracts\, walk\, and explore cities. Recently\, she lived in St. Petersburg\, Florida for eight years and contributed a number of poems to Neptune\, a local poetry and art magazine. Her first book of poetry\, I Am From the 20th Century was published b in April 2026. Her poems have been published in several Moonstone anthologies\, Quail Bell\, The Closed Eye Open\, Underwood Press\, and Writing in a Woman’s Voice\, among others. \nEli Goldblatt is author of From Away\, For Instance\, Sessions 1-62\, Speech Acts\, and Without a Trace. His two books for children are Leo Loves Round and Lissa and the Moon’s Sheep.  His scholarly books include Alone with Each Other: Literacy and Literature Intertwined and Writing Home: A Literacy Autobiography.  His poems have appeared in literary journals such as Epoch\, Hambone\, 6ix\, Louisiana Review\, and Another Chicago Magazine since 1973. He is Professor Emeritus of English at Temple University and former director of New City Writing\, an institute focused on community-related literacy projects in North Philadelphia \nMJ McGinn received his MFA from Adelphi University and was a VCCA resident in 2019. His work has been included in the Wigleaf 50 best very short stories and has previously appeared in the Guernica/PEN Flash Series\, Necessary Fiction\, Lost Balloon\, X-R-A-Y Literary Magazine\, LIT Magazine\, and elsewhere . He lives and teaches middle school in Philadelphia \nRebecca Petchenik is a strange and intense queer author and dramatist raised in North Carolina\, rumor has it\, by wolves. She is best known for her play\, KAIT\, which boasts stagings in Portland Oregon and Boston Massachusetts and her short fiction published in The Screen Door Review\, the Pointed Circle\, Plain China Anthology\, Reader Beware Magazine\, and many others. Most recently\, her antics and wiles have led her to be the featured poet at numerous live readings. She lives in West Philadelphia with her cat\, The Grande Dutchess Winnifred T. Katz\, and wants to be a pirate when she grows up. \nGeorge Schaffer was born in Philly 6 decades ago. He endured a childhood in the ‘burbs. Poetry seemed like a good idea at the time.
