He attended Oberlin College where he studied creative writing with David Young\, and has lived in Philadelphia since 1978. He is married and works as a claims adjuster. In Philadelphia\, he has studied with Leonard Gontarek and Eleanor Wilner. He has been published on line in Frigate and Apiary and given a number of readings in the Philadelphia area.
