DESCRIPTION:The Philadelphia Writing Project Presents: \nSilvino J. Alexander Jr.\, “Brother Jahi” is an educator\, poet\, author\, and mentor/consultant currently residing in Pennsylvania with his wife and two children. His poetry reflects the uncompromising reality of this world. Sydney Hunt Coffin has taught English\, Poetry\, and Art in Philadelphia\, worked with the Advisory Council of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation\, and as a poet has been published in Mad House Press\, Apiary magazine\, and Yale Universary Press.  \nLeah J. Mahoney “Kyu” is a local hip hop artist\, freelance model\, and spoken word poet living in Upper Darby\, PA. Kyu is best known for her vivid wordplay and fiery cadence. Her mission is to be a healer and advocate for creative expression. Horace Rooney has developed programs to provide mentorship and sports related outlets and managed the summer institution.
