Her recent poems appear in POETRY\, American Poetry Review\, and The Nation\, among others. She holds an MFA from the University of Oregon and just defended her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Philly with her two kids\, two cats\, one dog\, and one husband. She is the author of American Radiance and was the Editor-in-Chief of Gulf Coast: A Journal of Literature and Fine Arts from 2016-2018. She was also the recipient of the 2017 Prairie Schooner Book Prize and the 2016 Donald Barthelme Prize in Poetry. Additionally\, Muradyan is a member of the Cheburashka Collective\, a group of women and non-binary writers from the former Soviet Union. Previous poems have appeared in Poetry International\, the Los Angeles Review\, West Branch\, Blackbird\, and Ninth Letter among others. \n  \n  \n \nAlina Stefanescu was born in Romania and lives in Birmingham\, Alabama with her partner and several intense mammals. Recent books include a creative nonfiction chapbook\, Ribald (Bull City Press Inch Series\, Nov. 2020). Her poetry collection\, dor\, won the Wandering Aengus Press Prize and is forthcoming in July 2021. Alina’s writing can be found in diverse journals\, including Prairie Schooner\, North American Review\, FLOCK\, Southern Humanities Review\, Crab Creek Review\, World Literature Review\, and others. She serves as Poetry Editor for Pidgeonholes\, Poetry Editor for Random Sample Review\, Poetry Reviewer for Up the Staircase Quarterly\, and Co-Director of PEN America’s Birmingham Chapter.  A finalist for the 2019 Kurt Brown AWP Prize\, Alina won the 2019 River Heron Poetry Prize.
