Poets & Prophets Presents Philadelphia Poets Annual Reading Featuring
Courtney K. Bambrick, Peter Baroth, Richard Moyer
Courtney K. Bambrick’s poetry has appeared in Dirty Napkin, Parlor, Philadelphia Poets, Philadelphia Stories, Mad Poets Review, and the Schuylkill Valley Journal. She is a member of the Old Academy Players of East Falls where, this summer, she is coordinating the second annual Children’s Arts Program. She currently teaches writing and literature at Holy Family University and Gwynedd-Mercy College.
Peter Baroth was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Norman, Oklahoma. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and Philadelphia’s Temple Law School, he is an active and ardent writer, artist, and musician. Peter has published a poetry chapbook, Ski Oklahoma, as well as a novel, Long Green, and his work has appeared in many literary publications. Besides his poetry, a number of his art works have graced the pages of Philadelphia Poets. He was the recipient of the 2009 Amy Tritsch Needle Award for his poem, “Earth Mother”.
Richard Moyer has several degrees to his credit: a B.A. in English from Harvard, a Master of Humanities from the University of Richmond, and an M.A. in English from Temple University. His work has been published in Main Street Rag, Mad Poets Review, Thin Coyote, Nerve Cowboy, Hazmat Review, Verse Wisconsin, Endicott Revue, Ship O Fools, and others. His poems appear in Philadelphia Poets’ 2010 issue, and several more will be published in the forthcoming 2011 issue.
