Elizabeth Bodien lives in the Ontelaunee River watershed near Hawk Mountain in Kempton, Pennsylvania. She studied with the International School of America, lived in Berkeley in the ‘60s, and graduated from the University of California in cultural anthropology. Her graduate degrees are in consciousness studies, and the history and phenomenology of religions. Elizabeth Bodien worked as an instructor of English in Japan, an organic farmer in the mountains of Oregon, a childbirth instructor in West Africa, and a certified Montessori teacher. She taught cultural anthropology and critical thinking at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA until 2007. Her poetry appears in Frogpond, Ribbons, The Litchfield Review, The Fourth River, The Lehigh Valley Literary Review, Watershed, red lights, Schuylkill Valley Journal, Mad Poets Review, and Cimarron Review, among other publications. She also has poems in such anthologies as Across the Long Bridge: An Anthology of Award Winning Poems, Tanka Society of America Anthology, and A Travel-Worn Satchel. She has appeared on radio and TV with her poetry and her poems have won first prizes at the Pennsylvania Writers Conference (2004), the Write Stuff Conference (2008), and the Heart Prize (2007). Her award-winning poetry chapbook, Plumb Lines, was published by Plan B Press (2008). FootHills Publishing plans to publish her next collection, Rough Terrain: Notes of an Undutiful Daughter.

Daniel Collins is a performing poet, musician and documentary filmmaker living in Philadelphia. In 1993 he co-founded the grassroots poetry press Compassionately Stoneground Books, based in Ithaca, NY. He has performed at venues all over the east coast, including recent appearances on the WXPN radio program Live at the Kelly Writers’ House, at the Philadelphia Free Library Monday Poets Series, The Delaware Art Museum, The Baby Grand Theater, Wells College, Robin’s Bookstore, Wolfgang Books, and Chaplin’s Music Cafe. His first full length chapbook, of go & why, was published by Plan B Press in 2007.
